hopefully going in tomorrow to sign for a new Hyperstrada 821, I'm way too short for the 939 plus there's £1800 off the list price of the 821, so it's a no brainer really have couple of questions if anyone can help... where is the OEM alarm sited ? have chance of one but it has no instructions, I know I have to get the dealer to enable the alarm function, but no idea where it goes ? is there power to the sat nav connector behind the headlight or does that have to be enabled too ? thanks
From what I understand the Hyperstrada is "ready for anti theft system", so unless your dealer is including one in the deal I don't think one is fitted as standard. Unfamiliar with the Hyper but the Multistrada power sockets are under the seat. Andy
I don't believe it has one, and like Androide says, it's ready to accept the Ducati one. I also don't think it has any sockets, the Strada model does but not the HM. That aside , you'll absolute love it , I can't sing the praises of mine enough, although it did take a week or two for me to gell and suss out how to ride it properly.
alarm is from another dealer and I plan to fit it myself, I think the "ready for" just means the wiring is there, it still has to be enabled in the software. there are accessory plugs/connectors (not the sockets) for the sat nav and heated grips behind the headlight ready for OEM accessories, the heated grips function has to be enabled by the dealer, just wondered if the sat nav power has to be as well ?
