Ecu Remap Expert Needed! 848

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by ochapman, Jul 23, 2016.

  1. Hi guys,

I am in the process of buying a new exhaust system and therefore will need a remap on my 848.

I know I can go to a specialist tuning shop, but was wondering if there are any mapping wizards on the forum who may be able to help first, obviously for a fee!

I'd like to learn a bit about what it is one is doing when remapping my bike.

    Suggestions appreciated !

  2. @chrisw kmows his stuff

Google '848 ecu tuning at home' as with £30 worth of leads and a laptop yiu can add a DP or similar map just downloaded from web (ducatidiag or something??!)

Or spend £450 on a custom map, always the best option if money allows. Plenty do it now (CJS, BSD I think, Motorapido, think Cornerspeed...)

  3. Had my 848 evo done there, aktos and he set the timimg up too, performance filter, flashed with DP map and 131, end of days dyno work and 139

  4. CJS all the way here, he knows his stuff and will get the full performance of your bike out right across the range.

  5. Depends a lot on where you are based. Dave Wood Racing (Aylesbury) set up the Nemesis on my 848. It managed a nice and healthy 142bhp and ran faultlessly for the couple of years I owned it.

  6. Thanks for the info... Am I looking at around £400 for the job?

I have this mate, am North London (ish). St Albans area.

Edit - have only just got it, had mine done by a fellow member so invested myself in the same kit.

  8. Hi Pavey, thanks for the reply. Would you be good enough to talk me through it at some point please?

  9. Hi is anyone able to please guide me through the steps of adding the DP map for the termi slip-ons? I've just made a purchase on an 848 but it has the stock ecu.

    Thanks

  10. The Termignoni slip on exhaust purchased through Ducati would have been supplied with a separate ECU with the appropriate map. If the person you bought your slip ons from did not pass this ECU on, you will need to either get your ECU remapped, buy a second hand ECU for the slip ons (or std and get that remapped) or use an after market plug in. @chrisw is the best person on the forum to guide you.
