Hi,new to the forum and looking for suggestions to help/cure a snatchy throttle response on my 2013 1200s touring multi. Only owned it for a month and just back from a 2870 mile European trip. It's great two-up with luggage and can easily keep up with sports bikes. Only complaint is a throttle response at low speed when you need it to be smooth. Tried all modes but that made no difference (touring best overall). Cheers
Rev it, standard bike won't pull below 3000rpm in any gear higher than 2nd. Characteristic of the bike unless you ditch the cat and have a remap. Andy
Thanks Andy. I guess its time to look for a link pipe and open can then. The remap, is that updating the existing ecu or putting on a power commander or similar.?
Easiest thing is to overwrite your existing ECU. A word of caution, an after market decat pipe matched with an open can is VERY loud. If you can afford it, stick to a matched pair, Termignoni, Quat D, SC Project or Arrow. Most common match is Leo Vince decat pipe, (pathetic) baffle and the OE end can. Andy
