Yes you can but it's a bit more difficult. Not so easy on the move as the sat nav gets in the way, easier when stopped using two hands.
Yyes, but its not as easy as said above. I'm sure someone on here has produced a new part that acts as a spacer to bring further out?? It just need to comeout 5mm more I reckon and would make a lot of difference
I'm gonna go with the official Ducati one I think guys, as I had this on my 2014 and it was perfect for both seeing the dash and altering the mount angle. cheers for replies though
I have the Navihalter with a Garmin 600 and have no problem at all altering the screen height with one hand on the move
As has been said, it's not easy with the Navihalter as it comes, but with the separately sold 'extension' it is not difficult to operate with one hand, on the move. Doesn't the Ducati set up rely on RAM mounts?
No mate, goes on handlebar clamp, see my advert in sales, my 2014 is on there, really good but bloody expensive as are all duke accessories
Someone made some plastic blocks that enabled the second part of the navihalter mount to be extended enough to allow good clearance to the adjuster. God knows who did it be they were like £15 inc postage. Very handy edition too the brilliant german gps mount!
I've got the Navihalter with the extension block fitted on my DVT. Works a treat. Much easier to operate one handed with the extension block. Puts the Satnav in a great viewing position. Recommended. Can't remember who on this forum got them made up as a job lot, but they were done on a 3D printer in Germany I think. Good quality and fitted perfectly. If you've decided on the Ducati part then no prob.... But if you wanted a pic of mine with the extension block, then happy to oblige.

Yes you can. I have one. It's a little fiddly, but works. I only tend to raise my screen on longer motorway journeys so I'm fine with that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Be careful. It won't fit with most tank bags given the large travel in the steering as it could the bag
What effect do the extenders have on the vibration? My thoughts were that they might amplify it somewhat as the vibes are already pretty immense at certain revs. That and the position obscuring the rev counter when the screen is in it's lowest position are my only gripes with the Navihalter. It's still the best option if you use any type of tank bag.
That navihalter is a huge complicated contraption, add the spacers and it's even more unwieldy. Like Wayne I don't use a tank bag on this bike, even when touring. The RAM haldlebar U-clamp off to one side is perfect, 100% solid, zero vibration. Quality hardware that does not need extra bits to make it work.
