  1. Hey

Think it's time to grease my balls on the 999.

    A: is normal grease ok?
    B: just a thin smear?
C: should it be fairly spotless in there before reassembled?
D: is the torque on the central nut the same as a standard, ie what I'll find in my Haynes?

  4. That's what a forum is for isn't it ;)

  5. If it wasn't for me 50% of this forum would be people banging on about Nicola Sturgon and their latest mystery ailments.

  9. You can ride it but the clutch will slip. Common failure so I used to have an 'heir and spare' as the saying goes.

  10. Thx.

Is it the same as an OEM Ducati spring or is it "special" for STM?

  11. Is this "moly grease"?

  13. The Corse slipper I fitted after the STM had broader 'legs' on the spider so wasn't compatible.

  14. Good to know, thanks.

  15. No it's not but if it says high temperature melting point you can but try but use (very) sparingly. Andy

  16. Moly grease will be black.

  17. Moly grease as has been said is grey/black and high temp. From memory you should grease the bearings every 500 miles!!

Not a big job by any means about an hour a go.
