Hey Think it's time to grease my balls on the 999. A: is normal grease ok? B: just a thin smear? C: should it be fairly spotless in there before reassembled? D: is the torque on the central nut the same as a standard, ie what I'll find in my Haynes?
I have to say I've never known anyone ask more questions than you other than my 4yo grandchildren How do you get dressed in the morning by yourself?
If it wasn't for me 50% of this forum would be people banging on about Nicola Sturgon and their latest mystery ailments.
A/ I use moly grease. Do not use copper based grease, B/ Yes or it will get everywhere C/ Give the whole thing a good clean while you are in there D/ Cant remember with STM, if you do not have the instructions take a look at their webpage, think its on there. (Think I just used the standard settings with mine) E/ Cant help with getting dressed in the morning, sorry
No. As @Cream_Revenge has said 50% of this forum is people banging on about Nicola Sturgon and their latest mystery ailments. The other 50% is people moaning about how shit their Multistrada's are
You can ride it but the clutch will slip. Common failure so I used to have an 'heir and spare' as the saying goes.
No it's not but if it says high temperature melting point you can but try but use (very) sparingly. Andy
Moly grease as has been said is grey/black and high temp. From memory you should grease the bearings every 500 miles!! Not a big job by any means about an hour a go.
