  2. Monster 1100s are the ones the yanks all fit

  3. I've showas in mine from a monster, revalved and built by ktec and absolutely fantastic for it. If you fit ohlins have them revalved as the standard internals are budget, or hunt for r&t ohlins that fit.
Now post some pics man !

  4. Hi

there are so many Aprilia Ohlin's about, that I thought surely some of those fit.
I mean why make so many sizes?

I have some St4 forks so I will fit those this week end if I get the chance.

    Cheers

  5. Sport classic and monster use same sizes

50mm top yoke and 54mm bottom yoke
Think rsv forks are 53 top and 55 bottom but i might be wrong.

Rsvr ohlins forks are no better than the non ohlins so dont get too exited.

Just because it has the badge not all ohlins are top notch

My m1100s ohlins stuff needed rebound and compression stacks revalving and pistons modifying plus respringing at both ends.

You could do the same to showa forks for a lot less money and end up with the same thing minus the badge

  6. Yes you are right which is why I have the ST4forks. But was still thinking the gold forks do look good and I had them on my Paul Smart I used to have.
    I'll think on

    Cheers

  7. Reading my post it looks like a bit of a rant ;)

I spent too much doing mine and wanted to warn others.
Although its the best mod you can do in my view

  8. See, just as I was thinking St4 forks modded we're the way to go, and BAM you say having Ohlins is the best mod to do.

    ha ha

I will think over the winter and decide

    Ciao

  9. I meant properly setup suspension of any make

I went under the misconception that buying the ohlins stuff would be job done
So spent far more than i needed to but at the time nobody could fix the m1100evo forks

The only bike i have owned in last 20 years that didnt need revalved suspension was my ktm690smc.
