999 New 999 Owner, Tricky Handling?

  2. I've run BT-23's on mine for the last two pairs and run as bridgestone recommend 36 front 42 rear. I've run at Ducati recommend pressures and its better with the bridgestone pressures for road use for me, but each to their own
     
  3. Sorry to take us further off topic but is it not sensible to follow the tyre manufacturer's recommendations where they differ from Ducati's? Different carcasses surely have different requirements, plus Ducati's recommendation must surely only apply to the single type of tyre that is recommended for the bike.

    Seems obvious to me.

  4. I found that 36/42 made a huge difference on my bt16's
    However the major difference came from getting the suspension professionally set up for my weight.
    Apparantly ducatis of this era where notoriously low at the back.
     
  5. Absolutely agree that the tyre manufacturers recommendation is the one to follow.
    Just surprised there is such a large difference between Michelin and Bridgestone.
