939 SP Wheel Balancing

Discussion in 'Hypermotard' started by Cottonbreath, Sep 10, 2016.

  1. Hi folks,
Anyone know of anywhere that can fit and balance rear tyre on 939SP - Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes area...

Ducati told me it's a special adapter that's needed. Places I've tried confirm this - and can't do it
So far best option according to Ducati is push bike to end of road and call Ducati assist who will take to dealer to sort.
    Really?

  3. Bedford wheels. College Street. Kempston. Nice blokes and bikers. Give them a call

  6. I used them for cars and bikes for the last 15 years. Always been good. Asked a while back about SSW they never said they couldn't. I would give them a call for future reference. Not had the tyres changed on my pani yet.

  7. I have done the rear on both my hypermotard and Multistrada on our car wheel balancing machine at work , just use the usual cone fitment .... no problems

  8. Completely forgot about Flitwick - Doh!

  9. Yeah - ive had the hyper wheel done in a couple of different places.....its no different to a normal wheel....or am I missing something....?

  10. I balance my own, it's really easy but in order to fit a single-sided wheel I bought some cones, they weren't expensive so if your local/preferred tyre place doesn't have them and you still want them to do the balancing, then buy your own and take them to the tyre fitter when you take your wheel/bike.

  11. It's ok, Ducati dealership sorted when they put new tyre on.
All good info to know tho guys - much appreciated.

  12. In ten years of riding I've never bothered getting wheels balanced.

  13. I've not bothered getting mine balanced last couple of tyre changes, and haven't noticed any difference in the bike.

  14. Definitely wouldn't bother with the back wheel
