Finally got to fit my new acquisition my Termignoni alloy race pipes. They look great, weigh in at about a quarter of the weight. But the noise oh my god with baffles out!!!! Now I am a realist I will not last long riding with out the baffles and not keen on blocking up the holes with the baffles as standard. Is there a compromise lose a little sound but not let plod know I am coming 10 miles ahead. The noise though, I have never heard a Ducati sound like this
Pictures man ! Put the baffles in , I've mine in and dread to think /remember how loud the bike is without. Great sound though, like a seventies race bike don't you think ?
I don't have the baffles fitted to the Termis on my GT1000. I feel that the bike breathes better & sounds better without them, all as Ducati intended! I keep it rolled off when I'm riding through villages or built up areas. Friends riding behind me on their bikes usually comment on how nice the Ducati sounds.
Re 70s Race Bike Well yes and I have one of those as well. Trouble is every race track wont let you ride them as intended. But the sound is one of lifes best pleasures, even my daughter who is 11 loves it and even loves the smell of the burnt petrol from the exhaust.
Hello carl the termis are loud alright..look up a couple of you tube gt1000 vids with the aussie staintune pipes, mine has them.Loud but more subtle than the termi
Hi Been running them without baffles there not loud on the move and offer passers by a treat. I'm doing them a favour really.
Pulled the baffles / db killers out of my pipes anddddddd very quickly put them back in. Bloody loud isn't the word , it's the difference in being pulled by the police and not ! ! ! sORRY FoR sHOUtING IM DEAF ANd DISLEXIcaL
I agree. I had a harley it was way louder than the GT1000 with unbaffled termis. Duke sounds better though!
The Termis on my GT1000 were stainless steel. I think there may have also been black finished Termis for the SC1000.

Thanks! Am actually looking for the chrome/stainless steel termi for the SC1000S but I was told they only have the black termi for SC1000S.
Hi folks! I'm a newbie, and just arrived back in the UK with the Sport 1000 i brought with me from Texas. I have a few questions, sorry to hijack.. It has Termis, which I've never had the baffles for (noise was applauded at the Texas equivalent of an MoT), do we know a friendly MoT centre which would pass a non-baffled bike near Redhill, or a place to get baffles from? Has anyone used Steve Jordan for an MoT its on their list of services? Also, has anyone imported a Sport 1000 to the UK from a right-hand-lane country and had to modify for the UK? Is it just the front light, and if so what did you do? Any advice to help me avoid pitfalls would be gratefully received! cheers
