  1. IMG_2153.JPG After being a dumbass and losing my summer on the SP I want to use it as much as I can until the frosts and salt start.

A pair of Metzler tourance was the first step (on my freshly powder coated wheels)

  3. I'm still waiting on the Ducati heated grips and grab handles to attach a Kriega us20 tail pack.

Just for some bling I've ordered quite a few bits of carbon from conquest carbon.

Also to make touring a little more comfortable i bought a full hyperstrada screen on eBay for £30 and a little postage, but I probably won't fit that until I go to assen in June.

  4. First day on the metzlers. The journey into work was sketchy as hell. God knows what they were thinking, but front tyre was almost 40psi and rear was almost 50psi. Dropped them to 32front and 36rear the ride hope was awesome. They feel much much better than the supercorsa sp's in this weather

  5. They do it to make sure the head takes. You are meant to set them again after. Was it ride in/ride out?

  6. No. the powder coating company took them to a local tyre shop. They also fitted them 180 degrees out with the red dots opposite the valves. It's not really a problem though. I never get them balanced anyway

  7. I thought the dot indicates the heaviest part so should be opposite the valve?

  9. Taken from the metzler website

Some METZELER tyres have a red dot on the side wall. This indicates the lightest point, and should be positioned next to the valve.

For safety reasons do not inflate motorcycle tyres to more than 40 psi

  10. And yet Ducati will tell you rear tyre is 42

  11. I stand corrected. Unless metzeler are different to everyone else.

  12. I just set the tyre pressures to what I ran on my 848 as the tyres sizes is the same. It now rolls round the corners really nicely. I use the bike for my commute through country lanes so it's far from high speed anyway, I think these tyres will suit better. Looking at the supercorsa sp's they had really squared off in 2000 miles.

I didn't know where the red dots should be, I had to google it after they were fitted and initially found it on another forum.

  13. I'm keen to see more pics of wheels, whole bike shots would be good.

  14. I'll get some for you tomorrow in my break.

  15. Nice wheels. I agree, the mystery of the tire pressures because of that nice Ducati Manual stating some and the frame another thing. I thought the recommendation on the frame was only meant to be for the Supercorsa SP tire. Now I learn you run them quite similar and it is good.

I agree, the Supercorsa square off easily, that is the tire one puts on the start of the season when it is clear 4000 kms will be done mostly on country roads, or race track. If those are not met then these tires make not much sense OR it is a bit of work reverting the squaring ;)

Have a BMW there is clear they ask you to keep the tire pressures as similar as the ones in our manual, so if I mount the same tires on the Hyper and use lower ones??? where is the logic???? Specially if I mount the SAME tire, for instance M7RR's???

  16. Sorry it's taken so long for the pics. I have to admit I forgot.
