What I mean is perhaps being a bit younger than that and not really being around when Mr Dylan was at his zenith, somehow we didn't get the cut of the true vibe, It being shit an all that! Maybe we just swallowed the whole commercial thing too readily and didn't hold back to question it like what you guys did? That's yer bloody yoof for ya!
I can't stand Bob Dylan. He drones on and on and on. And then on some more. He gets right on my tits. I also don't really like Bruce Springsteen. And I absolutely ferking hate the Pet Shop Boys, for what it's worth. I do quite like some other bands though, so that's a positive
And the arrogant whiner hasn't even had the decency to respond to the award to confirm or refuse acceptance and attendance at the ceremony. Says it all, pretentious [add general name calling insult of choice]
I agree. Unless you are seriously ill or on the moon, you should respond to this kind of honour as a matter of basic courtesy or at the very least get somebody to do so on your behalf. If Mr Z doesn't want it he can refuse it - which would be fairly arrogant but not as rude as ignoring it.
Apparently if you do choose to ignor the award they still award it to you anyway. I was thinking well at nearly 80 I might be a little absent minded, only to read he's just finished a gig in vagas... So I don't know what the bloody hell is going on. If you're reading this Bob it's time you stood up and defended yourself!
" he aint no angel and neither are you ", ( paraphrase ),, you will know where that comes from even if no one else does ,
Reminds me of Howard Hughes. When he was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honour he didn't bother to collect it, so they eventually sent the medal to him in the post. In his later years Hughes was as mad as a hatter.
Someone brings you a tea of coffee, you didn't ask for it, they just thought you deserve one. Would you not say thank you
his voice was a bit crap and harmonica skills worse but can you really deny he was a great song writer/ poet? Give me a bit of pantera or white zombie any day but the man was a legend. I say was as he's long past his sell by date.
well everyone to their own etc etc,, i suppose there are those who would say that Pissario would have been better to have joined up his dots, or wonder why Moore put holes in his stones, or maybe suggest that Tracey should have tidied her bed before she invited the cameras in ,, or maybe argue the philosophy of JP Sartre on not accepting / acknowledging his Noble peace prize,, but then maybe they would be missing something quite important.
