I paid the deposit this morning. Actually, my dealer sent me an e-mail from the airport on his return from viewing the bike. He's an honest guy and was very impressed by it. I said yes there and then but as I've been working away from home, it's only today that I've managed to pay the deposit.

fuck me. i remember days when LE bikes like 1198R and 1098R TB's were at early 30K's and people were not buying them as they were too expensive. now LE bikes pitched @ £70 and people falling over to get one quick. WTF??? and no offence to people who ordered one, but i have seen picture of complete Sl2 bike and i am not super sure it is all that... and i am not that old, i am all for new technology and looks

Well done, federico and look forward to seeing your bike. Must be one of the first to be sold and hopefully one of the first delivered. If i had the cash to buy one, the track is the place to ride it. I've been lucky enough to have ridden just your bog standard 1299S on the track and the road and the track is still the best and probably only place you will get to ride a standard 1299 as you should.
