OK ... im looking at starting to put my own stamp on the bike and 1 thing i hated from the off was the rear indicators ..... so went on ducati performace site fro LED upgrades and liked the look ...but not the price .... so did the ebay comparison website thingy and found some for slightly less ....... pics look the same but prices don't ... even on ducati own website they are cheaper for panigale but product looks exactly the same...... think Ducati has found us multistrada owners a soft touch and easy to part with our hard earned :>( bought these Genuine Ducati LED Indicators BNIB 96680201A Panigale Monster Multistrada | eBay ducati site LED turn indicators - Ducati Hypermotard Monster Accessories not much difference in price but if it is the same product why the fk is more expensive to put it on a MTS .... ?
The cheaper ones fit MTS1200 up to 2014 Panigale and Hyper, the dearer ones are DVT MTS1200 model which must be different, think they use a generic photo for the catalogues
I took the chance that they will fit but knowing my luck they won't and I'll have to send them back and order more expensive ones and not save anything.... intact spent more
Ducati will charge what they think people will pay. Always best to check the FAR catalogue for things like indicators and mirrors. FAR make parts for Ducati as well as their own stuff. Some of the DP stuff is just off the shelf FAR stuff. For example the DP LED indicators for Monster 696/796/1100 and Streetfighter. The difference being the FAR indicators cost about £30. The same goes for the DP mirrors for those bikes. I think the FAR ones were about half the price of the DP ones. Based on the quality of the FAR indicators and mirrors I have bought they are just about worth the FAR price, they are not worth the DP price. FAR parts aren't always easy to find in the UK, but some scooter parts dealers sell them - it's ok to feel bad bolting scooter bits onto your Ducati, just keep reminding yourself how much money you're saving. The cheapest place I found FAR parts was some online shops in Italy and the delivery costs weren't bad either.
Yes, I bought a pair of LEDs for my DVT from Snells. They work well, look a lot better than the original indicators, and are much better made. They also have a little Ducati logo stamped on them. Ducati surely ought to fit LED indicators as standard (for a £16K bike in 2016) but fitting crap ones gives them an excuse to sting us for an extra £70, doesn't it?
Hi all kinda reprising an old thread....anyone got instructions on fitting the genuine ducati l.e.d rear indicators please? Bought a 2nd hand set and looking at the bike not sure if I need to dismantle my top box mounts to access the under tray (above the back wheel) to get the rear indicator plug in connections? ? Any advice greatly appreciated. TIA
Have some DP LED indicators on my wife's Monster 620ie and one of the R&G resistors I fitted is failing. Any suggestions as to a good alternative resistor to use?
On a DVT (different from a Mk 1), fitting the indicators is quite easy. Minimal dismantling required and plug'n'play. Don't go overboard with stripping everything to pieces. http://www.far.it/ FAR is an Italian firm selling a range of mirrors, indicators, etc. Situated in Bologna one mile south of the Ducati factory.
