Hi, could someone tell me what this monstrosity it plz ? and can it be removed, I think on another forum someone has removed it. It just looks awful and out of place penmouth:
Can full of carbon dust to help save the polar bears. I'd love to get rid of mine as well. You think they could have just made something to hide it! I thought about wrapping it in carbon fibre to make it look trick
I was under the impression you could remove it. Most of the US Panigale owners have junked theirs already so can't see why it's any different on a Multistrada.
you guys :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy: have emailed the guy on ducati.ms forum and if you look at last pic in 1st post you can see clearly ... NO EVAP CAN  hopefully he will get back to me with a 'what to do' WOW! How My 2015 DVT Should Have Been Stock - Clutch Slave, Quickshifter, 15/42, etc - Ducati.ms - The Ultimate Ducati Forum
2015 DVT parts list calls it a Canister Filter, Item 7 on page 118. Looks like it has a pipe from the fuel filler and pipes from a vent in each of the heads. Andy
Saves some petrol vapour escaping into the environment Never mind the energy and raw materials it took to make it, the hoses and clips, brackets and screws. More environmental friendly to have left it off probably... Plus would have looked less like an add on from a Lego factory..
Of removing it? Guess some think its looks tidier. Don't know if to affects performance (like opening the flapper valve permanently)
Wouldn't it be easy enough to add a universal breather filter instead of the canister? We do similar on my model KTM to stop it venting into the air box (which the engine then potentially sucks in as dirty air through the intake trumpets). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i assume it's part of the fuel evap system. think its been standard on cars since 2001? it introduces the vapors to be be burnt of under certain engine conditions. i guess it could be removed and maybe remapped/removed from from the engine ecu. fuel vapors, nasty stuff.
