hi, purchased a single seat unit (wont let me post a picture) to fit on my 996, it has cut outs for rear tail lights etc but the is no fitting on the tail unit to fit rear seat catch & rear light unit? do i have to make something to fit it, obviously i dont want to drill any holes etc, the only fitment is the front hinge attachment, any advice appreciated, ta kev
if you dont want to drill holes then you can make a mounting plate with countersunk thereaded posts bolted through it. this plate is then glued inside the seat unit using fibre glass filler strip wil try take a pic later to show you what i mean

kev did you get this sorted if so can you help me , my back lights fit into holes but no where to fit them to seat unit so just sit back below unit thought of drilling seat but dont want to risk seat if you have apicture to what you did would be great or am i talking about two different things my email address [email protected] regards colin
hi colin, yes did sort it, bought another seat bracket identical to one fitted to your original seat ( from ebay, ali one ,12 quid from slovakia i think ) reversed it, made a flat plate, bolted bracket to it then araldited it in correct position with rea tail lamp in place, once set, removed light and fibreglassed around bracket, all ok, will email over pics, ta kev
