Hi all, looking for some advice from any Mk2 Focus RS owners / fans out there, preferably with the knowledge on pricing ... I'm looking at a 2011 ( last year of production ) focus RS in white, Lux pack 1, 21,500 miles, 2 owners, looks to be In immaculate condition & totally factory standard, the chap is asking £23,750 Any helpful opinions ?
Sounds a bit expensive to me. I've had several in px recently against new RS's and they've not been quite that expensive. The last one we sold about a week ago and sold within a day at £22500. It was mint , blue and 40k miles. But remember we are a main Ford dealer so if it's 23k private it's too much with no warranty. I can keep my eye out for one if you pm me your details? On another point I can't believe people pay £23k for a car that was £25k new. I could of purchased one at £22k new and didn't bother. Why not put another £10k or so and have a brand new 4wd one with all the toys and drives brilliantly ? Can do cheap finance too. I've got a blue fully spec one ready to go at list price with no premium over list.
They seem to hold their money fairly well the rs's They're good cars but too 'McDonald's car park' for me
Also if you want a hpi for it I can do that for nowt and I'd also run it through etis if I was you to check the spec and build date. As it could be early car which had issues with blowing coolant hoses off but registered late.
They are pretty quick if well driven. I get picked on quite a lot whilst out driving and these Focus RS fekkers are always up for a tussle. Soon dispatched though if I can be arsed.... The wife go crackers too if she's with me.
been fancying one for a while, any under 20K seems to be higher milage etc tbh there just to much money imo but peoples still willing to pay, I had a beautiful mk1 with 50k which I sold for £7k 3years back, most tidy ones was around this private, one year later you cant get a good example under 10k, also had a couple mk2 st's, great motors, was 325hp and pulled like a train, put out a bloody fortune on it, the st's suffered with cracking liners if modded, (have heard the rs has but not sure) standard wont be a problem, my mk2 st3 I luved and only sold it because of the mpg, 18mpg average and was pretty canny driving, some hate fords I luv them lol
I'm just looking for a standard mint Mk2 RS, not interested in 400 bhp, 15mpg ( in the real world ) tuned to within an inch of the piston leaving the block ! Although I would consider a nice Ford approved mountune 350 bhp modded example: ) Just love the look of them, have done since 2009, just never had the means to buy one....my search continues ....
agree 100% they look stunning, forgive me for babbling along ;-) very nice motors, never thought they would have kept there value as the have, pitty or ide of had one before now, good luck with your search mate
TBH anything with a RS badge on it is a safe bet on retaining its value,my neighbour has a mk1 rs focus (the blue only one) tucked up in his garage for the last 10 years with 20k on the clock and the prices are on the way up big time,i swapped mine for a evo 7,not one of my better moves.
The one I was interested in turned out to be a base model , not a lux pack 1 car ( as advertised ) so I'm no longer interested, that's a 2011 , 21,500 mile car, seller won't budge from £ 22,500 , too much money for a private sale.
Well mine has lux pack 1 and 2 mountune 375 and loads of receipts I'm not that clued up on them but the mileage and condition was spot on and they seem to be fetching a lot of money
