I think he comes over like a prick actually. He thinks by shunting people off the track he's the new Senna. He's not and all he's doing is making enemies of his peers. He may find when he needs a few favours in the future, he'll not have many people ready to lend a hand. You can be hard AND fair.
I have read that Merc are after Bottas, how true, not sure but the other part of the deal would be better engine deal.
I know I've said it before - but... My godson spent 6 months working for Merc F1 - he reckoned N1co was a top bloke, and that everyone in the factory though Shamilton was a total knob...
And to be fair to Frank, at the time he said that they actually were... That was at the time when Senna offered to drive a Williams for free... Williams might not appear to have achieved much in recent years, but their budget is nowhere near as big as some of the teams they are beating...
Frank Williams and Patrick Head, along with Adrian Newey, were from an era when design innovation and pushing the rule book paid huge dividends. Now, according to Newey, the cars design themselves from within the regulations, leaving little scope for radical thought, and it is the size of the budget to purchase marginal (aerodynamic) gains that makes the difference.
It's not the amount of money spent on the power-plant that gives any gains, that's for sure. If it was Maclaren Honda wouldn't be at the back of the grid...
Apparently N1co isn't the only one who doesn't fancy another season working with "golden bollox"... Technical head Paddy Lowe could follow Nico Rosberg out of Mercedes | The Indian Express
F1 is shit these days Even the drivers think so. It's supposed to be a spectacle and it's just boring as fuck.
True, but it has been for years and years. I remember watching a race at the Hungarorging once. No one overtook anyone. It was, apparently, a track at which overtaking was impossible. A top venue, then.
Don't like Max ( but he does liven things up a bit ) dont like Ricardo , I would like to see Alonso get the seat as I believe he is one of the two three top guys , but , however unlikely , I would LOVE to see Jason get. The seat ,, no contract probs either
For next year they seem to be increasing mechanical grip but are doing nothing to reduce aero grip which, along with a wider car, will do nothing to improve the racing and make it a test of driver skill rather than how the car manages the tyres and fuel.
