Independent Workshop Map

  1. OK, so a reasonably low-tech old geezer (me) has recently been shown how to make a tailored map on google maps by a young'un.

    here goes with a link to the map - please add your favourite local independent workshop/dealer;

  3. quick update/instructions;

    go into search bar, type in the name of your workshop, hopefully the all-seeing Mrs Google will bring it up in a suggestions list, select the correct one. a pin will drop on the location with a text box describing what/who it is, with a line saying "add to map" - click this and it is now added.

  10. Added DWR in Aylesbury not a ducati specialist but a good independent that looks after me and a couple of other members bikes !

  13. Very nice, but why is DWR Motorcycles showing on the map as being near Haslemere, Surrey, when it's in Aylesbury, Bucks?

  16. has it been fixed?
    anybody who knows who/where they are? if so, can you check and fix if necessary?

    OK, I give up - which search bar??? The only one I can see is the Google Maps one which only looks for locations...

  19. Think I've fixed it.

    what I did was to copy from @Nasher 's post the address, put it in the google maps search bar, hit "search" and google dropped a pin on it. there was then an option to "add to map" which I did, then I modified the icon to match the rest of the icons in the list.
