Disgraceful, even for football. Although in his interview last night saying 'we all know the other team are way better than we are, much better quality players, be we have heart' won't have helped.
No !!!! I'm not a football fan, but as a Leicester boy and Ducati owner I have been gladdened to see Claudio's successes with the team. He seems like a really nice guy too, and a great ambassador for the city. A sad day and, in my opinion, the wrong decision.
Poor Claudio. I think this has cemented my decision to give up on football once and for all now. Leaves more time for bikes though I guess .....
So the manager is accountable for many aspects of the game the team play. However the one thing the manager does not do is kick the ball around the park on match day. Sack the non performing players for not doing what they are paid (exorbitantly) to do, then see how that will focus the minds of the others. It isn't going to happen I know. Andy
I think Gary Lineker hit the nail on the head when he said "After all that Claudio Ranieri has done for Leicester City, to sack him now is inexplicable, unforgivable and gut-wrenchingly sad" And I thought that Mourinho did too with his comment of “That’s the new football Claudio. Keep smiling amico. Nobody can delete the history you wrote" and he showed his support further by wearing a shirt with Claudio's initials on at todays press conference
Sad to see him go ,but 2 wins since he left proves he'd lost the dressing room, too much tinkering, thanks for the memories claudio.
