  1. Couldn't agree more. Great shame but a full life with incredible achievements.

  2. Yes apparently.
The same "apparently" that is backed up with the "my friends sisters milkmans dogs heard", so quite a credible source...

  7. A great loss to the world of motor sport, it is almost certain that we will never see anyone achieve what he did in different forms of racing and some of the modern day competitors should certainly take a leaf from his book. True greatness has sadly gone. RIP.

  8. First I heard , sad , RIP the great man ( wtf all the nonsense about knighthoods ) who was recognised and respected by his own peers and many more , truly a sad day ,

  9. He always seemed like an absolute top bloke and yes, a travesty that he was never knighted, though when you look as who do receive honours, the entire system is total rubbish. Interesting that he got an OBE, a CBE and an MBE as if they just couldn't bear to give him a K.
I personally wouldn't hand them out to cyclists and athletes until their careers are well over. Stuff always seems to come out of the woodwork - Bradley Wiggins, Mo Farah. And Andy Murray? Come on.

  10. Legend.....R.I.P.

  11. Gone forever but a bit of me likes to think he has reunited with his son Henry and the pair of them are sitting up there discussing the finer points of motor racing
