Talk to someone from the insurance company and ask why the quote is so high. There will be something in your details that is causing alarm bells to ring.
at work yes, but i have no garage at home, so if its locked up in a workshop thats inside a communal work area (not near the street, or visible from the street) surely its better off, than parked up outside a main road in a better area?

I know that, you know that but the insurance companies won't see it that way. I'd bet on it being the reason the quote is so high as I had a very similar situation when I tried to argue that my bike would be safer in a secure warehouse than outside a flat I was living in on the edge of Moss Side. They didn't agree! I ended up insuring it at my flat. Where I kept it is where you would expect given the options available.......

I know what your saying but with the tracker, it would log where the bike is all the time? every one says park it where its safe, i know its going to walk if its out side my apartment on a busy road
You are the legal owner, you are on the V5, you owe a debt against it. Suspect you are describing it as a personal contract hire or lease, neither of these have an option to buy at the end and you don't have the vehicle registered in your name (I have a car like that - it cost twice as much to insure as if it was PCP) not personal contract purchase. That may be one of your issues

I tried this but it didn't go down too well. Wasn't the biggest flat...! This is the place where I once got woken up after a night on call by an intruder who was paying a visit from the nearby estate, and the insurance company reckoned it was less of a risk than a rural warehouse with monitored alarm, cctv etc etc... because other folk had keys to the place.
