Monster 1200s, My 2017 & Termignoni

have been told by a Ducati UK dealer that I must fit standard cans to a Monster 1200S, my 2017, and run the bike for a while before I can have them fit Termignoni end cans. I think that this is untrue but would be interested in the opinion of others, please.

Cans fitted to my 899 and 1299 from new, no problems and dealer had no problems with fitting them at pdi.

Thanks. My Monster 796ABS had cans fitted from new also by the same dealer and with no problems.
