i know the alloy mono subframes fall apart on a regular basis but has anyone had or know of a steel bip subframe failing. Im planning big 2up trip and a post on another forum has said they can but I would like to confirm before employing a welder.
Mine failed but on the middle exhaust supporting part, the thin metal plate that the exhaust bolts too, was told by welder it just was a bad weld and unlucky it cracked on the weld edge. It was nothing to do with weight i.e. Passenger or not and was still rideable even with a passenger. Don't worry enjoy your trip
