Does anyone know if a Power Commander for the 821 would work with on 939? I can't find anywhere listing a PC5 for the 939 SP which is a shame as I really want to get the bike dyno'd and running right. Cheers in advance!
821 can be mapped. I was going to mine, they switch off the lambda sensors. I can't imagine the 939 being impossible. Contact BSD in Peterborough, they have a great rep as does Chris at CJS. Both of these guys could map my 821.
Cheers for the advice, folks. Unfortunately I live up in Aberdeen and haven't found anyone who can flash the ECU (reasonably) locally. Ian Murray Motorcycles can easily set the bike up if I can get a PC5 or similar. I just can't find the bloody things! They use Woolich racing software who haven't yet got a fix for the 939 hence the need for a piggyback.
You could send it to cjs in Clutton.... They do a "flash map".... Effectively turning your stock ecu into a race ecu.... Check with Chris to see if he can do it.... Sure he can...
Cheers folks, all sorted now. To answer my original question, yes the 821 PC5 is fully compatible with the 939. Just had mine setup on the dyno at Ian Murray motorcycles earlier today.
Yes, that's correct. From an engine with bugger all miles on the clock. The only performance mods installed are: DP airbox cover Pipercross AF Power Commander 5 Full Ti Akra System R.
Well first and foremost i never really looked at the output figures on them. I wasnt/not looking to change so kinda skipped through the reviews that i looked at. Secondly im not sure if theyre unlocked (from an ecu flash ponit of view yet) but i think if you could you'd probably get a bit more out of it again...
So what would a 939 with full termi and up map put out ? ( compared to stock to stop the dyno being a variable)
