hi, anyone changed the mirrors for ones you can actually see behind with , standard ones totally useless, ive seen adaptors on ebay, but would prefer a mirror if possible cheers,
I put a Halfords convex 2" bullseye on my 899 mirror. I can see whats in the outside lane when in upright position or head on the tank. Gonna fit one on left mirror shortly. takes a bit of getting used to distance wise but gives a really good view of blindspot when switching lanes
I think i paid about 7 quid. Before I paid I asked the guy in the shop if I could take it outside and hold it up to my mirror just to get a rough idea how it would look/would it be functional. Took the gamble and its helped no end. Def putting one on the other mirror
I find these work a treat. I only use one, otherwise it makes filtering tricky in heavy traffic. SW-MOTECH Mirror Wideners Ducati 2008-2017 https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sw-motech-mirror-wideners-ducati-2008-2017
I use a small Oberon bar end mirror on the right bar of my 999. Big enough to fill in the blind spot immediately behind but small enough to be neat and discreet. Works a treat. Almost no effect on overall width as it sits over my hand.
Just slacken the two Allen bolts on the clamp that holds the mirrors to the bar, and turn towards you until you get the mirror in the desired position and re tighten. My mirrors were the same pointing to the sky. This is the only way you can get some vertical movement on these mirrors.I can at least see what's behind me now.
