Ie Tank Pipes

  1. My bike's been off the road for a while, including the filter out of the tank & away from the bike. I've just taken the pump out to allow room to give it a good clean, & saw a pipe that I hadn't noticed before.

On the underside there's 4 pipes, 2 narrow for water drainage & fuel overflow, & 2 wider, one of which is the fuel feed to the engine, but what's the other for? In the tank the pipe lies horizontally near the bottom with a slight uplift at the end. I don't remember removing a hose off it.

I'm assuming it's to allow air into the tank as fuel is used, but if so there must be a one-way valve to prevent fuel from flowing down it?

Can someone confirm, .........or have I got a hose missing?

  2. Is it the fuel return to the tank ?

  3. I don't know....I'm asking!
