The injuries are coming along. day 6 since the wreck and I'm sitting in a new La-Z-Boy chair, home for the next couple weeks. So, boring details. The Wreck We were out on Sunday doing a beginners ride. 6 of us take out a dozen newer riders and show them the path to (hopefully) safer and more mature riding. We had left Marble Falls and were turning left to head to Round mountain (1431 to 1174). I wasn't the lead bike. The speed limit is 60, we were all slowing down in a single lane to move over and turn left. The guy behind me didn't notice and hit me at ~60. I was doing less than 20. His front wheel went to the left of my rear wheel. The front of his bike and helmet hit me directly. Damage Broke my left Scapula into multiple pieces.Thankfully their original plan to do surgery got changed. Don't need the extra healing time/energy.It is stupid painful. Broke 7 ribs on the left side. Not much to say about broken ribs, we all know they suck. Had 2 (one on each side) small lung punctures. They are already taking care of themselves. And I'm back home, it's been a rough week. Still sucks doing much of anything. It is getting better, slowly. I missed you guys.
Did you find the guy who ran into the back of you and eat his pancreas yet or is that on the list of things to do?
That's awful. Sorry to hear it and GWS. I take it the guy that ran into you was a new rider? What was he looking at? Where was his head at? As I said, get well soon
So ... apart from that, how is your bike? And how is the other guy? And how is your insurance claim looking?
