1200 DVT Dvt Panniers

  1. Just stumbled on this old thread. There has been a recall on the rear pannier locks and mine were replaced at the service this month. I never had a problem with the originals except once there was a loud crack noise when I removed one, but I never found anything broken. Most of my 15,000 miles have been done with the panniers fully loaded.

  2. To avoid any confusion, and please correct me if I'm wrong, you are referring to an advisory (not a safety recall) in relation to the lugs that lock the panniers to the frame, and not the locks.

  3. I don't think it was a proper recall because I didn't get a letter about it, but a lot of things have been changed at services by Ducati, this time they changed the right hand heated grip too. I was referring to the lugs, not the lock barrel. Does that clear things up?

  4. I wouldn't depend on receiving a letter about recalls if I was you. I have had several recall jobs done on my DVT and one of them I had to inform the dealer about.

  7. Got my metal pannier lugs sorted at the last service... just the recurring engine warning light (MIL) to get sorted... and my warranty has expired now of course...
