Daisy 2.0

Discussion in 'Builds & Projects' started by saxman, Apr 23, 2016.

  1. So after two years sat in my garage I have finally started to restore Daisy to her former glory and complete all the modifications that I have always wanted...
    • Mono conversion
    • Black Wheels
    • Deep clean and service
    • Full carbon fairings
    • Rearsets
    • Samco hoses
    • Pazzo Leavers
    • Possibly replace the swing arm with a black single sided arm
I expect I'll be coming here more often for help :D

  2. ;)Is that finished?

  3. haha nope just getting started, thought I would document it in a thread here as I haven't stripped and rebuilt a bike before. Besides keeping a log of my progress might keep me motivated.

Spent the afternoon stripping her down and will be getting busy with the autosol tomorrow ;)

  5. So i've been reading up on changing the swing arm for the black one, and there are a few threads saying there might be problems with fit/exhaust. Does anyone know how I can tell if the black swing arm will fit before I buy one?

  6. well after moving house and a whole load of other work related distractions, i've managed to progress my 749 rebuild, well I say progress, I've managed to take more bits of it :D

  13. Nope not RAF (i'm ex Army), bought the bike years ago, in fact it was my first bike, and still my favourite, bought from Stamford Superbikes 2007, second owner.

  14. After much faffing about with bearings, seals and a stroppy powder coater, i've finally made some progress, Daisy now has new bling in the form of chain, sprockets, grips, and super sexy gloss black shoes, lots of cleaning and and some new bits of hosing other bits you can't see. Next up, new battery and wiring and Rearsets and front hugger.

P.S. if anyone within a 20 mile radius ever needs tires fitted I can highly recommend these guys --> http://www.micheldever.co.uk/ awsome chaps after runing around Andover all morning trying to get the tires fitted, someone suggested them and they fitted and balanced them at no charge, even using gloss black bling weights! I'll be going there for all my tires car and bike from now on, excellent service.
