Whole big section of the factory is screened off (with high screens too) to stop people seeing the v4 in production, couldn't even see the cold engine testing sections either because of it, so shouldn't be too long. They say it takes them 7 hours to build a bike from scratch.
I really would like to see a gp style exhaust on this. Front cylinders low and rear cylinders high underseat
Video of allegedly the new V4 Ducati being tested at Misano today on FB https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10209458971419398
Sounded like a GP bike, awesome but think it may take more than an aftermarket exhaust to get that tone.
Sorry to burst your bubble, this was a MotoGP test at which KTM, Aprilia, Ducati, Dovizioso, Lorenzo, Stoner and Bradley Smith were present. No V4 in site. Tests of the new V4 will almost certainly have or are being run at Nardo Ring due to the stricter access, as was the case for early development of the 1098 and 1199. Publicity teaser videos (featuring Troy Bayliss) were shot at Mugello for the 1199, all under as strictly controlled environment.
Incorrect. This footage is from the MotoGP test last week at Misano. No V4 present. Had a friend who was there and only MotoGP teams were present.
As I have already stated, you can keep posting this video link but it is NOT the V4 being tested. This was a MotoGP test carried out at Misano last week, where Ducati, Aprilia and KTM were testing. You'll have to wait until September the 7th to hear the engine. Security around the launch is tighter than a drum so I very much doubt you'll see any authentic video footage just yet.
