Hi all.I'm looking at a 2013 Multistrada. Can anybody tell me if this model came with the skyhook suspension as standard or if it is only fitted to the "s"(ohlins) model? The bike I'm looking at doesn't have the ohlins suspension but the seller has it advertised as an "S" model with skyhook suspension.Any advice please???
Yep, only the pre-2013 bikes had ohlins on the S model. It could be upgraded to semi-active with the aftermarket Ohlins SCU, but the term Skyhook is only used for the semi-active grey Sachs suspension on the 2013-current S models (twin spark and DVT).
Mine is a 2013 1200S with skyhook and no Ohlins anywhere ...... try and find out of any of the DSS wheel speed sensors have been replaced as the rear wheel speed sensor is a common failure
The ohlins was not skyhook, the skyhook bikes were sachs suspension, and were indeed from 2013, the 2010 to 2013 bikes had boggo or non active ohlins electronic, from 2013 came boggo or Sachs skyhook, unless pikes peak from 2015, they were back to ohlins. Confusing but hope this helps.
