New to Ducati, got a 748 but it has just developed a problem. Starts ok and runs fine initially. When moving along will occasionally cut out and then fire up again. The other day I pulled into centre of road to make right turn and the motor slowed, despite twisting the grip to get some pick up, nothing. I paddled it across the oncoming lane. The motor continued to run slowly and a bit lumpy I suppose. Suddenly it fired up, revs fine and was ok for the few miles home. I don't think it's cured though. Any thoughts from you experienced Ducatisti out there.
First thought would be to change the fuel filter, as they are inside the tank they very often get left when diy servicing. Steve
Thanks for the reply, bike recently full service at Cornerspeed including air, fuel and oil filters. Somebody suggested fuel pump relay but there doesn't appear to be such an item.
Yeah, I figured that would be the case, which is why I mentioned the fact. Unfortunately Neil is on his hols at present so can't get any feedback on the problem. Planning to get the bike there when he returns but thought there might be a simple solution known to the initiated. Cheers anyway.
