1200 DVT Pannier Minor Mod

  1. Thought i'd post up a small mod i made to my panniers.

The addition of some small pieces of velco with a dab of superglue inside each lid means i can leave a hi viz and small first aid kit inside each lid for easy access.

The duct tape is just a couple spare strips for emergency use! WP_20170903_15_35_50_Pro.jpg WP_20170903_15_35_57_Pro.jpg

  2. Cool but you need the hi-vis on your person in france, stowed under your jacket to dodge the potential fine. Might be worth wrapping those items in plastic bags or seal-able zip bags to avoid moisture damage in the longterm. I found moisture had attacked my stop-n-go puncture kit leather pouch recently.

Edit; I also found my st-john ambulance biker pouch had gained some mold also. Got an outside Ortlieb first-aid kit from touratech on order to attach on some special metal brackets to my top-case.

  3. smart. great idea. too bad ducati doesn't sell a pocket or pouch that adheres to the inside of the cover for just such purposes. small, important things you want to have on you at all times.

  4. Good point, couple of zip lock sandwich bags will fix that.

  5. Brilliant. Was wondering where to stow the tool kit for when I want to charge my gopro under the seat. :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah::upyeah:
