I dont like the idea of any software activating the brakes unless it has algorithms that have a number of criteria that must be met for it to work. Ie speed registering as zero, accelerometers that sense the incline/pitch of the bike etc. Not saying I am against such features, just want the re-assurance they will only come into play when the correct conditions are met.
The more I hear you guys talk about the more I want it. If anyone in the US with a 2016 S has figured it out please let me know. Thanks.
Ha ha you’re probably right and I may never use it but am annoyed that I can’t activate it. Just like to know I have it in the unlikely event I ever “need” it.
I have it on my 2018 1260s. But for me it’s pointless as it releases the brake after 10 secs. What was the thinking behind that I wonder?? . If it held permanently until clutch is released as it does within the 10 seconds I could see the point sat at traffic lights etc. Like so many say....I just hold the rear brake!!
I’m sure I had it on my 15. At standstill give the front brake like a firm ‘double pump’ and u should see an H on the dash. Give it a try but be aware if it has it it releases after 10 secs
Guys, come on. If you really cannot set off on a hill on a motorcycle without needing assistance, you really should not be allowed to ride one.
159 cm tall, with short legs, and loaded suitcases and top case, I have traveled all of Europe to the Russian border, I did not arrive but I am managing ;-) Thanks for your observation, although it is not really necessary, I have been riding a motorcycle since I was 7 years old, currently 57, things change over the years, your body and agility will also change, if God wants and you arrive
All I do is once the brake is on give it a good squeeze and the light comes on dash, either front or back brake, works with either
