Would anyone have a spare knocking about I could borrow please. A friend of mine who owns a sheet metal shop said he would look into making me one. If it turned out to be viable then he would make up a load if the demand was there and I would sell them to forum members. Mark.
If he can copy an ally one, he should be able to do a copy from plastic. Should be easier to locate a placcy one.
For sure and to be honest that's probably what we will end up doing just thought it would be nice to have an ally one to get a few measurements from. I have my old plastic one laying around somewhere.
I have one with a hole in it,but ideal for a pattern,do what you like with it,I won't be needing it back.
If its an ally one great thanks. If you want it back repaired I should be able to do that if you like.
I started with a cardboard mock up. Then cut some ally. Taped it all together for a test fit. Then welded it together. It's on the bike now, I do intend a couple of changes to the next one when I retire and have a bit more time. Steve
I could be wrong, due to old age. I am sure I saw a little side-line for sale on t'net, offering templates and some cut pieces to make the ally tanks.
Yes. My track bike will be getting some work done to it over winter so when that all takes place I shall take out the plastic one and press ahead.
