I was the first to buy this from my dealer. I was looking at the Navihalter mount but as Ducati seems to have copied it and Navihalter seems to have stopped making it, I rushed to place my order. A word of warning though. If you like to fit your sat nav in the landscape orientation, the Garmin 590 will only fit in portrait mode, unless you have a very talented friend with a 3D printer and a lathe who will make you a replacement section out of ABS. A futher problem for me was my aftermarket screen which is flatter and required heating and bending to be able to align the sat nav upwards.
Looks like you've had a right result I had been checking the Navihalter site for age's with no luck. In the end I bought one on Flea bay for the same price that it would have cost new. Surely there's a trick here if there are any switched on fabricators out there because by the looks of it Ducati haven't got the design exactly right !!
I think the Ducati one is designed with the ducati version of the Garmin in mind, which I think is like the Nuvi 390, which presumably has the holes set the other way. Some people like their nav portrait but I prefer landscape and it certainly fits the bike better that way.
but it is important to limit the free play in the screen frame too, which I have described in another posting on the same date, entitled Screen Free Play
