Tim, I read in your project thread that you made an emulator so when on the dyno the fuel map can be optimised on your PC whilst the engine runs. Can you tell me more? Building an engine for my 888SP3 (748R heads, 2 inj/cil, bigger injectors, P8). I can eprom tune , but this emulating thing wil make life a lot easier when dyno tuning my bike. Is this also possible with my P8? Regards, Jacco
Hi Jacco I use a piece of software called TunerPro RT. Make sure you pay the subscription for the RT version, this enables emulation. You then need the emulator hardware and I use one from ‘Craig Moates’ Ostrich 2.0 Yes, the P8 uses a 27C256 EPROM and the Ostrich 2.0 supports this. I didn’t use the P8 and twin injectors on my RS but used the 748R shower set up
