I used Tank Strip paint remover, and then a wire wheel on a bench grinder and it removed it easily with no problems, i have done about 4 cases...
I removed the paint and then etch primer and 3-4 coats of TK Yanmar Grey and thats it, i didnt lacquer it as the paint is made for Marine engines...
If it help i have just sprayed mine with TK line paints, Yanmar Grey and this is how it looks now Stu[ATTACH]
