It’s time to make some room in the garage , so here for sale in the UK for £6000 is a lovely ‘73 CR250m Elsinore Probably the only ‘73 for sale today in Europe , maybe the world, that is road registered and road legal in daylight hours , this is even ULEZ compliant if you want to scoot around central London. V5 present in my name. Bike has been rebuilt with every bearing / seal and consumable replaced New PFR exhaust , new Betor rebuildable shocks , forks serviced , new brakes , chain and sprockets etc It has a long rod engine , with rebuilt crank and Wossner piston and all seals / bearings . HPI ignition and new clutch plates. Original carb rebuilt with all new slide, needle and jets. All panels are originals repainted and the tank is original all brushed aluminium and clearcoat. New levers, fatbars with risers , Gunner Gasser throttle and Pivot Pegz along with a clutch arm extension make it very comfortable on road or off . New Michelin Tracker tyres keep it legal and 15t front and 45t rear sprockets lets it keep up with the traffic .. If there’s anything better than a vintage dirt bike , it’s a vintage dirt bike you can ride on the road when the mood takes you Perfect for everyone ... stick it on display , race it , ride it on the local lanes, even commute on it . Or just be the coolest kid at the Coffee shop on Sunday morning ... Buy this ... you deserve it
Rides really well .. with the sense of occasion you can only get with a 2t dirt bike . Yeah , very light for it’s time under 100kg This one was produced on July 26th 1973 , so has a birthday coming up .. I also have an unrestored one that was produced 11th July 1973 .. also for sale
What exhaust has gone on? These are interesting bikes I was reading about them last night and saw some YouTube stufff proper cool but probably got good abilities
It’s a PFR (Pro Form Racing )exhaust on the first bike - sounds great and saves a little more weight . Stock exhaust and silencer on the unrestored bike .. these are next to impossible to find and super spendy (Circa a monkey for the little pickle silencer on its own . If you can find one )
These are tiny , narrow bikes - children can fit on them If too big , I also have a 75 125 , that’s probably a touch smaller
I don’t think McQueen was cool, saw him in an unscripted interview once, bit of a nob head really, but that bike is achingly cool, do you do substantial discounts for forum members?
Haven’t seen that .. be a shame if he was a dick , so I won’t watch it No substantial discounts I’m afraid , I have too much in it and consider it a fair price for a rare bike .I would consider another bike in p/ ex if that would help
