749 '05 (my) 749r Original Equipment ?

  1. I tried to find an original spec list for an '05 749R but failed miserably. What should I expect the bike to have as standard equipment ? I suspect Ohlins front and back but not sure if it should have carbon body work as well. Andy

  2. Some had Carbon I think and others not dependant on model year.

  5. I have been mulling the purchase of this bike over for a couple of days and it hasn't really got me salivating. Sadly saw it next to an 1199R yesterday and that definitely makes the '05 facelift model look a tad ugly. If anyone is looking for a face lift 749R (05) in good condition with service history for "market" money, send me a PM and I'll forward the details. Andy

  7. Got my dream track tool, got my every day road tool but want something a little special for high days and holidays. If I can replace the bits I robbed from my 748R for the track bike, I'd put that back on the road and be very happy :). Andy

  8. Build the 748r back up with a 1098r/1198 engine. That would be a special bike.

    Or get the 749r and put some carb9n fairings on it.
