Hi All, Just read the account of 1098's experience with DMC but what got my attention is the fact that their previous 1098 went up in smoke due to the cats igniting and firing the bike. Is this common or was it as I suspect a rare one off?
The cats are in the cans on a 848/1098. So it'll never happen as nobody has a ducati without termi's do they?
Blimey, should have thought about that myself. 1098 straight Termis 848 slashcut Termis, should be ok then? What tha think?
Seriously though, I have never heard of this before, can it happen on a grand scale with standard cans?
Sorry folks just need to know. Reading 1098's account regarding cats catching fire, is this a common problem or a rare thing indeed? I have been reliably informed it can't happen if the bike is fitted with Termis. Thank you.:Bored:
