999 1098 Engine Swap Question

  1. Can anyone point me in the direction of any info for a 999 to 1098 engine swap?
    I've got info for the 748 etc route, but can't find anything for doing it to a 999 etc

  7. As with most of these projects the air box has to be the most difficult bit but.....i guess the 999 throttle bodies sit in the 999 air box in the same place as a 998 throttle bodies sit in a 998 air box and the 1098/1198 ones fit in to a 998 so i guess they should also fit the 999 air box

    engine mounting wise they are the same swing arm mounting is the same....
    bit of work on exhausts but the primary route is similar so

    look easy to me...........;)

  9. By far and away the biggest head ache is the airbox, 916/1098 conversion s easier as the bottom of the tank is the top of the airbox.

  11. Unfortunately they don't.

    If you or someone you know has fabrication experience, say with fibreglass etc, then there shouldn't be a problem.
