  1. Hello,
I need to change my n/s fork seal! Is this something I can do myself at home also my orange warning light comes on now and then but no error codes! is this anytrhing to worry about?
    Thank you

  2. Well we don't know on the first one, can you? Depends on your ability.

On the second one, yes this is something to worry about.

  3. Fair enough! I've got no speical tools but I'm a ex heavy goods fitter so I'm okay with mechanical things!! as for the warning light it doesnt seem to affect anything in fact if you turn the ignition off then back on again the light goes off! the bike has had all the software updates

  4. The warning light needs investigating, hopefully it's a faulty sender or short, but it's too important to risk. Are you new to the bike?

If you have the tools an oil seal is a piece of cake with your skills.

  5. Okay I will take the bike into my local Ducati dealer, What tools do I need and yeah only just bought the bike, owned a beautiful 900SS for over 3 years and in that time not one single problem!

  6. Ducatidiag will interrogate any errors stored in the ecu that may have illuminated the warning lamp and it's a great tool to have for the future too, for resetting the TPS and service light etc.

The leads are only around £15 from flea bay and the software is free.

  7. If your doing one for seal do both, the other probably won't be far behind anyway plus you'll have to get the same weight of oil in each leg, air gap etc.

Youll need a paddock stand that lifts the bike from the yokes for a starter plus the Ohlins tools for the top of the fork legs as a minimum.

  8. Pay someone to do them maybe send them to Colin at 100% suspension will cost about £130 to do both it's very easy to go wrong

  9. You can't lift a 1098 from the bottom yoke cos there ain't a centre spindle hole

  10. Its the same on the 916 you need a stand that uses a plate to hold the bottom yoke instead of a spigot

  11. By the time you have bought a stand and a tool to measure the air gap it would be cheaper to get them done by 100% suspension
