I think the fork width is the same? What about the wheel and brake fit?

Are you using 1098 yokes? Steering stem is bigger.
SS. 26mm.
1098 35mm.

Do I need the yokes? Though the diameter was the same. what else do i need?

Aren't the standard forks on the SS 50/54mm, whereas the Ohlins are 53/56mm?
