Me too, the £650 one hardly has an unblemished reliability record to back up the price. I may have to take a look at the Chinky rad.
My beloved 1098s sprung a leak last night. Nothing major, but engine idle speed was all over the place and didn't sound too sweet. Rode it home 5 miles slowly, checked coolant all good but the rad has a small leak from the usual bracket area. But what was going on with the motor while this was happening? Seems fine now by the way. Any ideas.? Thanks.
Gonna try some jb weld on it whilst it is still small. Does anyone have good experience with this fix?

Thanks for that Rob will give it a try before going for a Chinese. Any ideas on the other issue.? I regular idling. Could it be related in anyway?
