  1. Hi
has anyone got a rear paddock stand for the 1098 going cheap? I used the stand I had for my 848 and it fell off, larger spindle apparently. Doh!
    Cheers David

  2. Wow that sounds painful any damage. I have been using my old paddock stand on my 1098, from my Aprilia, but every time I was worried about dropping it. In the end I got one from germany on ebay for £41.00. Peace of mind was worth that.

    Regards Steve

  3. Be aware there are two spindle sizes on 1098 stands as they changed during the 1098's life.

  4. Hi,

I'm making secure stands and have them used on 998 (single sided) 999 and 749 amongst other bikes, they work quite simply with a bar passing right through the hollow rear axle to a double sided stand. As standard I use a 16mm bar but size isn't critical but could make larger if required. Its then really easy to lift on the stand using your foot like a centre stand or pulling on bars or with a hand lever. Easiest to see on youtube or my website:

  5. Spindle Swop ?

Hi I have just bought a genuine ducati rear paddock stand of e bay. It was listed as suitable for 1098 1198 and 848 but there are two pins and both are too big for my 848. The pins measure approx 40mm and 42mm. I think the one for an 848 is about 22mm. If your stand is a genuine ducati stand, I would be willing to swop your 848 pin for either of my larger pins for your 1098.ThanksNorman
