In my mind, it seemed perfectly logical to buy a duplicate kit of parts so my 853 and my 748R could co-exist without sharing bits as they currently do. Anyway, the 853 is now being consigned to history so I no longer need the duplicate kit of parts. These 1098 53mm/53mm Showa forks have been rebuilt with a new Ohlins FGK210 cartridge kit (compression in one leg/rebound in the other), 90kg springs, bushes and bearings by Moto Rapido and sat in my spares room ever since. The outer tube anodising on one fork leg is not brilliant (as pictured) but the inner tubes are fine. I'll also include a 1098 53mm bottom yoke and front wheel spindle. The forks owe me big time but I'm asking £1000, which wouldn't buy you the Nix30 cartridge set (without springs). Andy
Silly question but why have the compression valves been left in the fork leg? Part of my cartridge kit included blanking plugs for those.
@Ducbird, Viv, please could you close this thread, I have decided to rebuild the Showas and sell the Ohlins cartridge kit separately. Thank you. Andy
