Did the 1098R ever come with a DP GPS Receiver fitted? Or if one is fitted is it a sign of the bike having been tracked or raced? Thanks
Yes the 1098R came with a Data Acquisition System in a box that partnered with the 70mm race exhaust system and dedicated race ECU when fitted. I and quite a few owners tracked their 1098R’s and quite a few did not. The 1098R got a reputation for eating gearboxes although I never had a problem with mine, probably because I didn’t fit a quick shifter. What are your concerns ? Andy
