Hi, Got a number of spares for sale which I will add to the appropriate section in due course but was wondering what the best advice is re the pricing i.e. Posted here as there may be some interest from this section of the board. Should I enter the retail price then ask for offers ( some of those prices are hideous !!) or Put in a price for the item straight off (having difficulty with this as some are brand new, want to be fair but get realistic value) ? Any advice gratefully received, thanks
It's a difficult one. If you know the retail price then maybe put that along with what you want for it? People can make up their minds if it's a price they want to pay, or they can PM you an offer?
I would advise putting them up for what you think they are worth. If they dont sell, then you can drop the price/or be open to offers. The other option is pop them on ebay and add the link to the page in the classified. You will be advertising to a larger market and therefore may get more money
Pit up what you want/think they are worth 2nd hand, maybe with retail in brackets but that is only relevant if the product is like new imo. And pictures.
Putting the retail price up tends to scare some people on here, and the "OFFERS" part is ignored by some because all they can see is the retail price. There are a fair few intelligent people on this forum who can see you are being helpful indicating the retail price, and some who just compare anyprice you put to ones seen on fleece bay. The choice my friend is yours - but on here it is seller beware!
Thanks for your help everyone , very much appreciated. Cranker V2 , it was your thread which made me pose the question , good luck with your sales.Gordon
