1098s Fairing clips

  1. Would anyone happen to know where I can I buy a couple of replacement fairing thread clips? One of my fairing bolts came out probably through vibration or where maybe the last owner hadn't tightened it up properly.

    Thankfully I have a couple of spare bolts but when I came to fit a new one I found that the slide on thread retainer or clip must have come off too as the bolt has nothing to thread into behind the fairing :-( I can't seem to find them anywhere online.

    Help! lol

  5. Hi Guys, can anyone confirm the thread size on the clips? I ordered them via one of the above links (6mm) and since have read that the thread could be 5mm

  6. Yep. they're M5...they're about a quid apiece from your dealer if you need just one or two

  7. Thanks for that Nelly, I just worked out that they were M5 - Thankfully spoke to the guys over at www.speedyfasteners.com and they are now sending me M5 as well as the M6 that I ordered.

    I'm very impressed with them as a company as they are trusting me to send the wrong ones back to them so no extra holding charge or returns procedure etc...
